Hand-painted flowers and magazine clippings are used to create this Mallard Feather Pin. Great on a lapel or hat!
 
All feathers are created from reproductions of my father’s original carvings. They were made in Highland, NC, at a furniture factory in the late 80s using resin with pecan tree dust. 
 
I began experimenting with the reproductions in 2019,  transforming them into art objects. 
 
They are available in pins, combs, clips, necklaces, and bolos. They are all hand-painted with acrylics and mixed media; some designs include magazine clippings and flower petals as collage elements. Each is unique and one of a kind.
